Kathy Jo Michl, 72, of Keokuk, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024, at her home in rural Keokuk.
Kathy was born on September 27, 1951, in Keokuk, Iowa, the daughter of George L. and Clarice (Wilsey) Mullen. She graduated from Keokuk High School and went on to work in housekeeping at the Holiday Inn. On October 31, 2005, she was united in marriage to John M. Michl. He preceded her in death on November 12, 2010.
Kathy lived an interesting life and loved doing anything with her husband, including golfing and shooting. She loved animals, and especially enjoyed feeding her cats. Other hobbies included solving crossword puzzles and reading. Kathy was known for her loving and caring personality, and would share whatever she had.
Kathy is survived by three siblings: Carolyn Buckley of Bettendorf, Iowa, Doug (Gini) McAdams of Montrose, Iowa, and Dee Dee (Jeff) Little of Dixon, Missouri; her sister-in-law Sandy Mullen; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kathy is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ron Mullen and brother-in-law Gene Buckley.

A private family graveside will be held at Keokuk National Cemetery.
