Task force nabs Keokuk man

MONTROSE - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk, Iowa man on misdemeanor drug charges.

Terron Nikael Wilson, 21, of Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on January 9, 2016 at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on misdemeanor drug charges. Wilson is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine), a serious misdemeanor, and Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor. If convicted, Wilson faces up to 3 years in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Wilson stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that he was involved in the possession of illegal narcotics in the Lee County area. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded to an altercation and through an investigation, items that support the charges were discovered.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
