QUINCY - The Fort Madison Lady Bloodhounds played a strong defensive effort, but couldn't put the points on the board to get a win.

Quincy downed the FMHS 39-29 in a physical non-conference make up game that was rescheduled after bad weather in December.

"They were a very physical Quincy team and held us to just 10 field goals," said Head Coach Charlie Knipe.

The Hounds also played good defense allowing only 17 field goals in the game for the Mustangs, but four of those were 3-pointers, two from Jada Humphrey who led Quincy with 14 points.

The Hounds were paced by Amber Dilsaver who had 12 points. Mercedes and Mariah Trimble each had six for FMHS. Anna Kester added three points and Emily Mitchell had 2.

When Fort Madison did get the free throw line they made all five attempts.

The Lady Hounds fall to 3-12 in the loop and play host to non-conference Danville on Tuesday.
