FM man arrested on felony drug charge

FORT MADISON – The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Fort Madison, Iowa man on a felony drug charge.

Robert Roland Harper, 26, of 1722 Avenue D, Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested on February 13, 2017 at the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on a felony drug charge. Harper is charged with Possession With Intent To Deliver Marijuana, a class D felony. If convicted, Harper faces up to 5 years in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Harper stems from a traffic stop conducted by a Lee County Sheriff’s Office Deputy. Items that support the charge were discovered during the traffic stop.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
