Several local Fort Madison High School and Holy Trinity Catholic School students, as part of the M*Power U Youth Leadership team, made presentations to legislators and a delegation of Southeast Iowa officials from Mt. Pleasant, Fort Madison, Burlington and Keokuk at the annual Southeast Iowa Region Days Tuesday at the Iowa Capitol Building. Pictured is McKenna Fehseke of Fort Madison High School giving a presentation on Mental Health issues in Iowa's public schools and the need for more therapist access for students. Sabrina Fullhart of Holy Trinity Catholic also spoke on that issue. Conrad Hellman of HTC was part of a presentation on improving teacher collaboration and more efficient scheduling methods exclusive to schools. Chris Brown of FMHS, Austin Gaylord of Central Lee and Rylan Brumble of Central Lee also took part in the celebrations. Photo courtesy of Fort Madison Partners.
