Car smashes into truck on Avenue G

FORT MADISON - Unconfirmed reports indicate no one was injured when a black two-door Pontiac slammed head on into a parked pickup truck on Avenue G Saturday night.

Fort Madison Fire and Rescue, along with Fort Madison Police and Lee County EMS were called to the 2600 block of Avenue G right around 8 p.m. The black vehicle crossed the center of the road and hit the front driver's side of the red pickup. The impact shoved the pickup back into another pickup on the north side of the road.

Witnesses said they didn't believe anyone was taken to the hospital as a result of the accident, but couldn't be certain.
