Marvin G. Swyter, 79, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 8:47 p.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 at his home.He was born on March 31, 1937 in Kanawha, IA to Gerald & Norma Faye Abbas Swyter.He married Patsy Ann Scovern on January 19, 1957 in Fort Madison, IA.She preceded him in death on August 24, 2013.He was a truck driver for many years and was a member of the Fort Madison Eagles, Moose & Izaak Walton Clubs.He enjoyed fishing, playing pool and camping.
Marvin is survived by: 1-daughter: Brenda Swyter of Fort Madison, IA; 1-son: Brett Swyter of Fort Madison, IA; 11-grandchildren; 11-great grandchildren and 1-brother: Gary (Barb) Swyter of San Dimas, CA.He was preceded in death by: his parents, wife, 2-sons: Bryan & Bruce and 1-brother: Roger.
