Keokuk police release name of body pulled from Des Moines River


KEOKUK- The Keokuk Police Department has released the name of the person recovered in the vehicle pulled out of the Des Moines River Tuesday afternoon.

Lee County Medical Examiner Bill Young has identified the body as that of 46-year-old Sean Junior O’Day of Keokuk. Investigators do not believe foul play was involved, however the investigation remains active. Police have not indicated at what point or the circumstances surrounding the vehicle entering the river.

More information will be released when it becomes available according to a release from Keokuk Police Chief Dave Hinton.
