HTC junior high competes at Danville Invite

The Holy Trinity Catholic Junior High boys and girls track team competed at the Danville Junior High Coed Invitational on Tuesday, April 04, 2017. Garrett Hannum was the only boy competing for Crusaders but made his presence known. He took first place in the 400 in a personal best time of 59.85. He also ran in the 100 hurdles in a time of 17.68 and in the 200 hurdles in a time of 31.53 taking second place in both races.

The girls team was led by Raquel Schneider and Anna Sobczak, both taking second place finishes in their individual events. Schneider placed second in both the 400(1:07.8) and 800(2:49.8), while Sobczak took second in the 100 with a time of 14.56. She also placed 5th in the 200 in 31.43.

The 4 x 100 team consisting of Schneider, Tessa Gendron, Annabelle Scheetz, and Sobczak placed 5th with a time of 1:05.6. Also competing for the Crusaders were Anna Schroeder, 400(1:45.5), 800(4:06.1) and Alesha Hellman, Discus(49’8”), shot put(15’6”). Gendron competed in the 100(16.74) and the 200(37.63). Scheetz also threw the Discus(56’10”) and the shot put(18’10 ½”).
