Hounds boys finish third at Fairfield golf meet

FAIRFIELD - CJ Richardson led the Fort Madison Bloodhounds with a 52 at the Walton Golf Club in Fairfield Thursday night in boys high school golf action.

The Hounds finished third with a combined 217 at the Par 34 nine-hole meet. Keokuk won the meet with a 179 followed by Fairfield's 207.

Bill Young was a stroke behind Richardson for the Hounds at 53. Tommy Wade shot a 54 for the Hounds followed by Tristan Reida and Tyler O'Tool with 58s and Brandon Keester with a 68.

O'Tool had a par 5 on the 458 Hole No. 3 and Reida had a par 3 on the 185-yard Hole No. 6.

Keokuk's Jake Cook earned the meet medalist honor with a 42, followed by the Chiefs' Brett Wrieden with a 53.

The boys participate in the Lee County Invite on Tuesday at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course beginning at 1 p.m.
