Task force arrests one on misdemeanor drug charges

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk, Iowa woman on misdemeanor drug charges.

Carol Jane Feikert, 45, of 621 Bank Street, Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on April 11th, 2017 at 300 North Park Drive in Keokuk on misdemeanor drug charges. Feikert is charged with Maintaining a Drug House, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. If convicted, Feikert faces up to 2 years and 30 days in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Feikert stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that she was involved in the use of illegal narcotics in the Lee County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office and the Keokuk Police Department assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

The Lee County Narcotics Task Force is funded in part by the U.S. Department of Justice and the funds administered by the Iowa Governor’s Office of Drug Control Policy.
