DONNELLSON - The Holy Trinity Catholic boys soccer team has found their winning stride again.

The Crusaders knocked off Central Lee 1-0 in a Southeast Iowa Superconference matchup Thursday night.

The Crusaders had lost four in a row through April 11th, but bounced back with a 1-0 win over Mediapolis a week ago.

Nick Pothitakis scored for the Crusaders on a penalty kick in the second half. Bailey Merschman had four saves in the game.

"We had 12 shots and 6 shots on goal so we really struggled with the placement of our shots," said head coach Ryan Culbertson.

"The defense played solid which really kept the confidence up with the rest of the team."

In the Mediapolis game, Adam Rauenbuehler scored the only goal of the game with four shots on goal. Pothitakis had two shots on goal and Merschman had two saves.

HTC plays again at home Friday night against Wapello with a 5 p.m. start.
