Three Lady Hounds score in win over Macomb

Posted
BY PCC STAFF FORT MADISON - Dezire Kline and Emily Wolf each scored two goals as the Hounds downed hosts Macomb in high school girls soccer action Friday night. Kaeli Huston scored her first goal of the year in the first half to kick off the scoring Monday night. Kline and Wolf also each scored in the first half as well to give the Bloodhounds a 3-0 lead going into the break. Leigh Johnson blocked a penalty kick in the first by Macomb to hold the first half shutout. Macomb scored the next two goals in the second half to make it a 3-2 game. But Kline and Wolf pushed the advantage to three points again to round out the game's scoring. Johnson was voted Player of the Game for the Hounds. "She had some great saves tonight and made sure we didn't concede any more goals," said head coach Sebastian Seifert.
"Our offensive triangle of Taylor Shannan, Kline, and Wolf continues to improve and score goals which is something we have been lacking in years past. They have a total of 18 goals between the three of them."
The Hounds host Fairfield on Tuesday. The varsity-only match kick off is at 4:30 p.m. rather than 5:30 p.m.
