Fort Madison Police Department Report

05/04/17 - 4:47 a.m. -Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1400 block of Avenue G

05/04/17 - 10:00 a.m. -Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 700 block of Avenue G.

05/04/17 - 10:40 a.m. - Fort Madison Police arrested Skyler Dwayen Stark, 29, of Montrose in the 800 block of Avenue G on a warrant for three counts of probation violation. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

05/04/17 - 12:34 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 1900 block of Avenue L

05/04/17 - 3:23 p.m. - Fort Madison Police arrested Shawndra Jo Anne Spoores, 27, of Fort Madison in the 2500 block of 255th Street on a charge of 5th degree theft. She was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

05/04/17 - 3:07 p.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 2400 block of Avenue L.

05/04/17 - 5:41 p.m. Fort Madison Police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 2200 block of Avenue H.

05/05/17 - 6:17 a.m. - Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 800 block of Avenue H.

05/05/17 - 7:07 a.m. Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a personal injury accident at the intersection of 12th Street and Avenue E.

Lee County Sheriff's Department Report

05/04/17 - 2:32 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Robert Gene Kay, Jr., of Keokuk in the 2800 block of Main Street in Keokuk on a warrant for failure to appear on a citation. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

05/04/17 - 2:16 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on Belfast Road. A vehicle driven by Thomas Andrew Spears, 21, of Douds, Iowa was traveling northbound on Belfast when he lost control coming out of a curve and entered the west ditch were it rolled and came to rest on it's wheels. Two other occupants, Bryan Lawrence Dye, 20 of Bonaparte and Dereck Ryan Davidson, 26 of Bonaparte were all transported to Henry County Medical Center for treatment. No citations were issued at the scene.

05/04/17 - 8:40 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 3300 block of 175th Street. A vehicle driven by Scott Kendall Coursey, 31 of Fort Madison was traveling westbound and crossed the roadway into the east bound shoulder and overcorrected causing a slide into the north ditch where the vehicle rolled twice before coming to rest on it's wheels. Coursey was transported to the FMCH for minor injuries and was cited for failure to maintain control and failure to produce insurance. The accident remains under investigation.
