FORT MADISON - In what can be a new tradition in the Fort Madison Community School District, the Fort Madison High School seniors donned their graduation crimson and black gowns and paraded through the elementary schools Monday morning to the Fort Madison fight song.

Students and teachers lined the hallways at Richardson and Lincoln schools and cheered and applauded as the seniors walked through the hallways in 2x2 format. The parade served as an honor for those that are graduating and an inspiration to those students seated who looked up and high-fived the seniors walking through the hallways. One teacher even held up an older class picture of the some of the seniors when they attended Richardson elementary.

The actual Fort Madison graduation is Saturday, May 27 beginning at 11 a.m. at the high school.
