05/18/17 - 6:33 a.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 6100 block of Reve Court.

05/18/17 - 7:41 a.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 1100 block of 20th Street.

05/18/17 - 8:43 a.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1000 block of Avenue E.

05/18/17 - 11:57 a.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 400 block of 24th Street.

05/18/17 - 1:58 p.m. - Fort Madison police arrested Michelle Leanne Eid, 25 of Fort Madison on warrant for failure to appear. She was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

05/18/17 - 2:22 p.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 6100 block of Reve Court.

05/18/17 - 2:37 p.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident reported at the police department.

05/18/17 - 5:50 p.m. - Fort Madison police cited Sayra Abigail Nunez, 21 of Fort Madison for striking an unattended vehicle. She was cited and released.

05/18/17 - 8:56 p.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle in the 5200 block of River Valley Road.

05/18/17 - 9:17 p.m. - Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle in the 2600 block of Avenue L.

05/18/17 - 11:31 p.m. - Fort Madison police arrested Jamie Lee Ahlen, 33 of Fort Madison in the 2000 block of Avenue E on a warrant for failure to serve time for OWI-2nd offense out of Des Moines county. He was transported to the Des Moines County line for transfer.

05/18/17 – 1:58 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Michelle Leanne Eid, 25, of Fort Madison, in the 1500 block of Avenue M, on a warrant service for FTA (failure to appear). She was taken to the Lee County Correctional Center and jailed.

05/18/17 – 5:50 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Sayra Abigail Nunez, 21, of Fort Madison, in the 800 block of Avenue E, on a charge of striking an unattended vehicle. She was cited and released.

05/18/17 – 11:31 p.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Jamie Lee Ahlen, 33, of Fort Madison, in the 2300 block of Avenue E, on a warrant service for failure to serve time on OWI 2nd offense (Des Moines County). She was taken to the Des Moines County line.

05/19/17 – 7:56 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a property damage accident in the 1200 block of Avenue H.

05/19/17 – 9:36 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1300 block of Avenue G.

05/19/17 – 1:15 p.m. – A male juvenile was arrested on charges of burglary 3rd motor vehicle, possession of burglar tools, interference with official acts, tampering with a witness, and curfew violation.

05/19/17 – 1:15 p.m. – A female juvenile was arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance (marijuana).

05/19/17 – 5:52 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of vandalism in the 1300 block of Avenue G.

05/20/17 – 2:20 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Teresa Ellen Clark, 56, of Fort Madison, at 48th and Avenue J, on a charge of driving while suspended. She was released.

05/20/17 – 4:00 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 500 block of Avenue D.

05/20/17 – 4:31 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 700 block of 9th Street.

05/20/17 – 5:38 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1500 block of Avenue F.

05/21/17 – 12:39 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a burglary in the 2400 block of Avenue D.

05/21/17 – 6:57 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested David Tom Witte, 31, of Afton, OK, in the 600 block of Crescent Lane, on a charge of interference with official acts. He was taken to the Lee County Correctional Center and jailed.

05/21/17 – 10:31 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 2300 block of Avenue H.

05/22/17 – 7:19 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of burglary in the 600 block of 8th Street.

Lee County Sheriff's Report

05/18/17 - 12:08 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jacob Anthony Haage, 23, of Montrose at Bluff Park in Montrose on warrants for 5th-degree theft less than $200, 5th-degree theft and 2nd-degree theft. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

05/18/17 - 3:25 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Thomas Jay Ruble, 49, of Donnellson at the Washington County Jail on a warrant for voluntary absence. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

05/18/17 - 6:15 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jody Michael Cooper, 41 of Burlington at the sheriff's office on a warrant for contempt of court. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

05/19/17 - 1:16 p.m. - Lee County Sberiff's deputies arrested Jacob Anthony Haage, 23 of Montrose at the sheriff's office on a charge of 2nd-degree theft. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

05/19/17 - 2:34 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Douglas Scott Knittle, 48, of Fort Madison in the 800 block of Avenue F on a charges of drug trafficking 5 grams to 100kg of methamphatmine and drug tax stamp violations. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

05/19/17 - 5:00 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Jacqueline Lee Schaller, 24 of Ottumwa in the 200 block of Osage Drive in Ottumwa on two warrants of violation of probation.

05/19/17 - 11:08 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one vehicle accident at the intersection of 240th Street and 180th Street. A vehicle driven by James Anthony Beechtree, 51, of Donnellson lost control and went through a ditch and fenced in area striking a small evergreen. Beechtree was transported to FMCH for injuries sustained in the accident. The report indicates Beechtree will be OWI-1st offense, transporting an open container and failure to maintain control.

05/20/17 - 2:02 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident at 295th Avenue and Academy Avenue. A vehicle driven by Andrew James Bleything, 26 of Denmark lost control and crashed through a chain link fence before striking part of a natural gas pipeline and damaging the line. Deputies found no one at the scene but found the address of the owner of the vehicle and went to locate him at his address. Bleything was cited for failure to maintain or use a safety belt, failure to maintain control and failure to obey a stop sign. No injuries were reported.

05/20/17 - 3:07 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Darin Michael Bleything, 30, of Fort Madison in the 300 block of Vica Lane, on warrants for voluntary absence from custody, domestic assault impeding air/blood flow, 4th-degree criminal mischief and on a judgement hold. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

5/20/17 - 9:16 p.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on Valley Road where a vehicle driven by Erin Nicole Lovell, 16, of Keokuk suffered a blow front tire causing the vehicle to enter the ditch. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued at the scene.

05/21/17 - midnight - Lee County Sheriff's deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on Hillcrest Road. A vehicle driven by Garret Lee Weirather, 19 of Keokuk lost traction and entered the ditch and then struck a tree. No injuries were reported and Weirather was cited for failure to maintain control.

05/21/17 - 12:54 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Tammera Lynn Simmons, 56 of Montrose in the 2500 block of 270th Street on a warrant for domestic abuse assault. She was released the same day on her own recognizance.

05/21/17 - 3:27 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Shane Michael Blanchard, 35 of Wever, in the 1400 block of 303rd Avenue on a charge of OWI-2nd offense. He was taken to Lee County Jail and released the same day on a promise to appear.

05/21/17 - 4:55 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Devin LeRoy Stark, 22 of Mediapolis, at the intersection of 212th Street and Hwy 103 on charges of OWI, driving on the wrong side of two-way highway, open container and speeding. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

05/21/17 - 8:18 a.m. - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Michael Allen Axtell, 19, of Wayland, Mo., at the Lee County sheriff's office on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

05/22/17 - midnight - Lee County Sheriff's deputies arrested Brian Lee Benedict, 44, of Keokuk, no location given on a warrant of contempt of court for non-payment. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.
