Lois (Heine) Schlipman-Greene, age 80, passed away on September 29, 2016 in Lakewood, Colorado.
Lois was born in Keokuk, Iowa on March 12, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Robert Heine and Esther (Eck) Heine. Lois spent most of her life in Keokuk, Iowa; Los Alamos, New Mexico; and Lakewood, Colorado; places that were etched in gold in her heart. Lois received her nursing degree at the University of Iowa, and her career included nursing and politics. She was also an active member in her church. Lois had many hobbies and interests including genealogy, photography, classical music, history, politics, traveling, playing the flute, and playing dominoes.
Lois leaves behind four beloved children, Robert W. Schlipman, Nancy J. Holley, Joan E. Spears, and Douglas P. Schlipman; an adored son-in-law, Matthew S. Spears; five cherished grandchildren, Anthony M. (Lauren) Spears, Amy E. (Logan) Guenthner; Erica Schlipman, Kyia Schlipman, and Chilar Schlipman; one precious great-grandson, Liam D. Spears; one aunt, Irene Smith; and three cousins, David Kirchner, Sharon (Wes) Brown, and Cindy Smith. Lois was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Alan Schlipman; and a grandson Douglas Schlipman, Junior.
A graveside inurnment ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Montrose Cemetery, Lee County, Iowa, where Lois will join her parents, and rest in peace in the arms of the Lord. King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory is assisting the family with the services.
