DANVILLE - The Holy Trinity Crusaders snapped a four-game losing streak in big fashion with a 12-1 win over Danville in Southeast Iowa Superconference baseball action Monday night in Danville.

Senior Cameron Bahl had his best outing of the season for HTC on the mound going the full six innings and only surrendering one run unearned on four hits, eight strikeouts, and two walks. Bahl also went 2 of 3 at the plate with a double and a single and a run scored. Junior Collin Thornton led HTC at the plate going 3 of 4 with a double, two RBIs, and a run scored.

"The boys did a great job coming together as a team tonight," said head Coach Albert Schinstock. "Cameron Bahl looked like a true leader out on the mound and at the plate."

Aiden Alford went 3 for 4 including a double with two RBIs and a run scored. Reed Fehseke went 2 of 5 with two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base on the night. Incoming freshman Jason Thurman went 2 of 4 with two runs scored, a double and an RBI. Quentin Schneider also went 2 for 4 with a double, a run scored and two RBIs.

Danville held a 1-0 lead going into the top of the third when the Crusaders put two on the board and added two more in the top half of the 5th inning. But HTC blew the game open with an 8-run top of the 6th which invoked the 10-run rule when the Bears couldn't get anyone across the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning. Danville is still winless on the season at 0-8.

The Crusaders now have two wins against four losses and will play at Winfield-Mt. Union on Tuesday night.
