HTC girls split to end season

WEST POINT - The Holy Trinity Catholic seventh grade girls wrapped up their season going 1-1 at the end of this week. They finish the season with a 7-3 record.

On Thursday the Crusaders played at Danville and lost 12-7.

Mary Hellige pitched six innings striking out four batters.Anna Sobczak walked, stole a base and scored a run, while Raquel Schneider had two hits and a run scored. Kayla Box walked twice, had a double, three steals, and a run scored. Kelli Meierotto walked twice and scored twice and Jenna DiPrima walked twice and scored twice.

On Friday the Crusader played West Burlington and won 12-6.

Hellige got the win going six innings striking out eight. At the plate she had a sacrifice bunt, a walk and a run scored. Schneider had a hit and a run scored, Box stole two bases and scored two runs. Also on offense, Brooke Mueller had two hits and two runs scored, while Laura Mehmert had two walks and two runs scored. Meierotto had a walk and two hits and two runs scored, and Alesha Hellman had a double and a run scored. Rachel Menke had a walk and a run scored and Alexa Dingman reached by error and stole two bases.
