Donna R. Lembcke, 74, of West Point, Iowa passed away at 3:07 P.M. Friday July 7, 2017 at her home.

LEMBCKE

Born January 3, 1943 in Sioux City, Iowa the daughter of E. Ray and Thelma M. Jones Stieneke.

On November 3, 1962 at Saint Michaels Catholic Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska she married Darrell A. Lembcke. He preceded her in death on September 15, 2008.

Survivors include two daughters: Kimberly (John) Goetz of Keokuk, Iowa and Kathy Brune of Denmark, Iowa. Three grandchildren: Jennifer Goetz, Austin Brune and Allison Brune. Also surviving is her twin sister Darlene Goodwin of DeWitt, Nebraska, one brother Gary (Joni) Stieneke of South Sioux City, Nebraska and sister-in-law Nancy (Tom) Sluga of Cassa Grande, Arizona. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Darrell.

Donna was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in West Point. The Altar and Rosary Society of the church and the West Point American Legion Auxiliary. She helped coordinate the West Point Blood Drives. She was employed at O’Malley-Ryan-Spexarth Insurance Agency and the Fort Madison Community Hospital. Donna was an avid Nebraska Corn Husker and Cincinnati Reds Fan. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon on Monday at the Schmitz Funeral Home in West Point with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. There will be a Parish Rosary recited at 3:00 P.M. and a Christian Wake Service at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday July 11, 2017 at St Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in West Point with The Very Reverend Father Marty Goetz as Celebrant and Fr. Dennis Hoffman as Con-Celebrant.

Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in West Point.

Following the burial, a luncheon will be held at the West Point American Legion.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St Mary’s Church, West Point Fire and Rescue or the Holy Trinity Elementary School Building Project.
