Area woman nabbed on felony, misdemeanor drug charges

DONNELLSON – The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Donnellson, Iowa woman on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

Jennifer Lynn Morris, 37, of 408 North Oak Street, Donnellson, Iowa was arrested on July 13th, 2017 at her residence on felony and misdemeanor drug charges. Morris is charged with two counts of

Delivery of Methamphetamine less than Five Grams within 1000 Feet of a Public Park Second or Subsequent Offense, a class C felony with enhancements, Maintaining a Drug House, an aggravated misdemeanor, Child Endangerment, an aggravated misdemeanor, Possession of a Controlled Substance (Hydrocodone), a serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor. If convicted, Morris faces up to 95 years and 30 days in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Morris stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that she was involved in the use and distribution of illegal narcotics in the Lee County area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
