FORT MADISON – The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Fort Madison, Iowa man on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.
WILSONTyrone Lee Wilson, 42, of 1610 Avenue M, Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested on July 26th, 2017 at his residence on felony and misdemeanor drug charges. Wilson is charged with two counts of Delivery of Cocaine Second or Subsequent Offense, a class C felony with enhancements, Possession with intent To Deliver Cocaine while In Possession of a Firearm Second Or Subsequent Offense, a class C felony with enhancements, Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, a class D felony, Maintaining a Drug House, an aggravated misdemeanor, and Possession of a Controlled Substance (Alprazolam), a serious misdemeanor. If convicted, Wilson faces up to 113 years in a state correctional facility.
The arrest of Wilson stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that he was involved in the distribution of illegal narcotics in the Lee County area. A search warrant was served in connection to this investigation and items that support the charges were discovered.
The Lee County Attorney’s Office, Fort Madison Police Department, Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Penitentiary K9 Unit, and the Tactical Response Unit comprised of Keokuk and Fort Madison Police Officers assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.
The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
