Stacey Lynn Thurman, 29, of Montrose, was arrested by Lee County Sheriff's deputies after an investigation into surveillance videos that allegedly show her taking scratch off lottery tickets and scratching the codes and scanning to see if they were winners, then taking the money from the registers.

She was charged with theft of the tickets on July 13, 16, 18, 20, and 21 as an employee of the Garner One Stop in Montrose and the Garner gas station in Fort Madison.

She is currently being held on a $25,000 bond with 10% allowed. Her initial court appearance was Thursday and her next court appearance was set for Aug. 21.
