FORT MADISON – The Fort Madison Habitat for Humanity is now taking applications for potential resident of their next home building project.
Applications can be picked up at the Fort Madison Public Library or Fort Madison City Hall.
According to the group’s guidelines, all applications must meet the following guidelines: the application must be completed in ink; 30 days of pay stubs must be included with the application; applicants must include a copy of your lease or cancelled rent check; a copy of the applicants most recent tax return; a copy of last month’s bills (a complete list of those bills is included with the application packet); must included 350 hours of sweat equity on the home; and a $1,000 down payment during the early stages of the project.
The completed applications can be returned by mail to the Fort Madison Chapter of Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 291, Fort Madison, Iowa 52627.
