FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Community Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the recognition of these FMCH Guardian Angels.

Jessica Teeter (Cardiopulmonary), Arsenia Smith (Medical-Surgical Unit) and Janice Brown (Medical-Surgical Unit): “I had a hard time putting my gratitude into words. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there in my time of need. I feel so blessed that my Mother was in your loving care during her final moments. I feel so blessed that I was able to be right by her side during her passing. You gave me strength, hope, and comfort. Thanks to each of you who cared for my Mom. For all you do, for who you are, I will be forever grateful you are in my life.”

Genessa Meier (ER): The gift was given by Christine Fox. “Genessa went above and beyond her call of duty. Unfortunately I had a visitor who is over my medical decisions-he wanted me admitted to Iowa City immediately. Genessa professionally explained the process which they followed. This person wasn’t nice and I was so embarrassed. Genessa should have not dealt with that behavior. Genessa was so nice to myself and my daughter. Hats off Genessa you ROCK.

The Guardian Angel program allows patients to recognize outstanding FMCH employees by giving a monetary donation to the FMCH Foundation. Employees receiving the honor are awarded a Guardian Angel pin and certificate.
