HTC blows out WACO in home opener

FORT MADISON - The Holy Trinity Catholic volleyball team made easy work of visiting WACO on Tuesday night in the home opener at HTC High School.
The win moves the Lady Crusaders to 3-0 on the season and 3-0 in Southeast Iowa Superconference South Division play.
Junior Emily Box again Holy Trinity at the net with 25 kills. Junior Taylor Boeding had 10 and Senior Maya Rashid had five.
Box also led five HTC hitters with perfect serving, going 25-of-25 with an ace. Anderson was 19-of-19 with three aces, senior Sam Hoenig was 15-of-15, Rashid was 7-of-7 and Boeding was 2-of-2.
Defensively Box had 13 digs, Anderson had 11 and junior Elyse Pothitakis had 10.
The Crusaders are off until Sept. 12 when they play host the Cardinal of Eldon with matches starting at 5:30 p.m.
