Elizabeth Marie “Libby” Dixon, 86 years, of Fort Madison, Iowa died at 4:30 pm Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at The Madison. She was born September 30, 1930 in Fort Madison, Iowa, a daughter of Ernest and Katherine (Anderson) Marsh.

Libby was a graduate of Fort Madison High School. She worked 15 years for Sylvania in Burlington and 21 years for Dial Corporation in Fort Madison. She was a longtime member of the Second Baptist Church. She enjoyed shopping, crocheting, and working crossword puzzles.

She is survived by one brother, Eddie Marsh of Burlington; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Terry Marsh; five brothers: Charles, Ernest Jr, Richard, and David Marsh; foster brother, Carl McQuay; and three sisters: Betty Clark, Joyce Marsh, and Audre Martin.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 11:00 am Monday, September 18, 2017 at the Barr Memorial Chapel, Fort Madison. Funeral services will follow and begin at 11:00 am at the funeral home, with Reverend Gary Cartmill officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Fort Madison.
