King-Lynk Obituary – Lucille D. Brinkschroeder, 90, Pacific, Mo.


Lucille D. Brinkschroeder, 90, of Pacific, MO and formerly of Ft. Madison passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 3:00 AM at the Pacific Care Center.
    She was born on June 24, 1927 in Keokuk, IA to Charles and Guelma Roe Derr.  Lucille married Hazen “Shorty” Huffman and he preceded her in death.  She then married James Brinkschroeder and he also preceded her in death.  Lucille retired from Ft. Madison Community Hospital where she worked in the cafeteria.  She was a long time member of the Ft. Madison Moose Lodge and Eagles Club.  She also managed the Izaak Walton Club.  Lucille enjoyed dancing, cooking, singing, waitressing and serving people.  Lucille loved visits from her family and going out to dinner, her favorite meal was chicken. 

Survivors include two sons, Rex (Karen) Huffman of New Smyrna Beach, FL and Ray (Sandy) Huffman of Pacific, MO; a daughter in law, Cheryl Huffman of Cape Girardeau, MO; eight grandchildren, Bret Huffman, Dyrk Huffman, Tabitha Orth, Nicole Tolly, Brian Huffman, Brandi Huffman, Kristie Begic, Raymond Huffman; fourteen great grandchildren, Brittney Hardage, Jordan Hardage, Jaryd Huffman, Darian Huffman, Kendall Huffman, Shae Huffman, Peyton Rodeffer, Nicholas Orth, Kuerra Huffman, Addison Orth, Kamden Tolly, Brayden Begic, Bentley Begic, Kingston Huffman; four great great grandchildren, Peysleigh Syperda, Hazen Syperda, Nevaeh Epperson and Adalyn Rodeffer.

   She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; two sons, Roy and Rick Huffman and one sister, Florence Waterhouse.
   Friends may call after 2 PM on Friday, September 22, 2017 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet with friends from 4:30-6:30 PM.  The funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Lane Van officiating.  Burial will be in Charleston Cemetery, Charleston, Iowa.
