FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Rotary Club has a way for you to surprise your loved ones this fall and the effort helps fund local community and charitable events.

Orders for a dozen roses are being accepted through Tuesday. For $20 you get the roses and delivery, which will be done on Oct. 13.

To order the roses contact Matt at 563-650-5272 or Janelle at 319-470-4011.

Funds raised will help support local high school scholarships, the Rotary Youth Leadership Academy, Operation Warm (Coat Project), Central Park, International projects, Polio Plus, Community Match grants, and the Riverview games.

The club is also trying to gauge interest in a commemorative blanket that depicts historic and iconic locations in Fort Madison. The blankets would be $60 each or two for $100, but a minimum order is required to have them produced. The blankets have been produced in the past, but the club wants to revamp the design and needs to know from the community if there is sufficient interest to move ahead with the project.

Those interested in the project or purchasing a blanket are encouraged to contact any Rotarian or Matt and Janelle at the numbers above.

This is a sample of what the Fort Madison Rotary is considering producing if there is enough interest from the community in producing the keepsakes. They would be $60 each or two for $100. Those interested in the project are encouraged to contact a Rotarian or the numbers listed above. Courtesy photo.
