FORT MADISON - Fort Madison Community Hospital has named Jeremy Alexander as the interim President/CEO of the organization.

Alexander is the Vice President of Finance at FMCH and has been acting President/CEO since Pat Bira resigned the position July 31st. An interim Vice President of Finance has been selected to take on Alexander’s current finance responsibilities; David Pike will join FMCH on October 9th assuming the role of Vice President of Finance.

Pike brings over thirty years of leadership experience in health care management to his new role at FMCH. Pike has spent the past nine years filling interim Chief Financial Officer positions for Quorum Health Resources after retiring as Chief Financial Officer at Southwest Alabama Medical Center in Thomasville, Alabama.

"I look forward to coming to Fort Madison and working with the FMCH family to accomplish the goals that have been established,” expressed Pike.

“The Board of Trustees is committed to the success of FMCH. We feel confident that Jeremy will help lead us through this time of transition. Retaining an interim CFO will help ease Jeremy’s workload so he can focus on ensuring the culture of excellence at FMCH is upheld. David Pike brings valuable experience in finance that will complement our leadership team,” commented Ann Menke, President of the FMCH Board of Trustees.

Quorum Health Resources is actively working with the FMCH Board of Trustees to conduct a national search for a permanent replacement for the President/CEO position at Fort Madison Community Hospital.
