HTCs God’s Portion Day set for this weekend

FORT MADISON – The annual main fundraiser for the Holy Trinity Catholic school system will be held this weekend at the HTC high school in Fort Madison.
The event kicks off Saturday with a fish fry from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and then a live auction starts at 6:30.
Sunday, a breakfast is served from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a bake sale kicking off at 10 a.m. The Driven to Give, where any test drive of a Lincoln vehicle prompts a donation to the school system is going on from 10 a.m. to  4 p.m. A mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Shottenkirk Gymnasium, with a noon Grain followed by the second day’s live auction. The silent auction also being at noon.
A hot lunch & dinner is being prepared and will be served from 1 to 7 p.m. with a Kids Zone with games and activities being held from 2 to 4 p.m. There will also be a 50/50 raffle on Sunday.
The following items are some of the items that will be available for auction at the two-day event.
$400-value gardening basket; blue 110cc four wheeler with (3) kids helmets; Ozark Tan-Tar-A Condo for (1) week; (1) Year family membership to YMCA, (2) entries to 2018 Rodeo Stampede 5K, (2) entries to 2018 Triathlon; Italian night w/wine for 10; Beer and BBQ for 10 and Dueling pianos for 50.
Homemade Mexican Dinner/Drinks for 12; Iowa and Iowa State fire pit ( IA State is similar to IA fire pit); Milwaukee cordless impact wrench and light; Triple R-one certificate for driver’s ed class valued at $375; (4) VIP suite tickets Wednesday rodeo w/food and drinks; Culligan Hot/Cold water dispenser w/(3) 5 gal water jugs-$330 value; Ten Acre Treehouse – one night stay in Captain’s Quarters; DJI Mavic Pro Drone -$1000 value; cooked roast beef that serves 80-100 sandwiches.
