Trout release Saturday at Wilson Lake

LEE COUNTY - The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will be releasing 1,000 full grown trout into Wilson Lake on Saturday morning.

Fishing will begin at 1 p.m. and 200 of the fish are tagged for prizes. The dump will included Rainbow and Brook Trout. The event is free to participate, however anglers must be properly licensed and bring appropriate gear.

Children under 16 may fish for and possess trout if they fish with an adult who has a valid fishing license and trout fee. The limit on Saturday's fishing event is five and children fishing with an adult have a combined limit of five.

The Trout fee may be purchased at the Heron Bend Conservation Area office at 2652 Hwy. 61 in Montrose.
