Dohman named FMCH Employee of the Month

FORT MADISON – Fort Madison Community Hospital recognized Steve Dohman as their September Employee of the Month. Dohman works as a Supervisor the Dietary department at FMCH. He has been with FMCH for thirty-seven years. Dohman was recognized with this nomination:
This individual is a working supervisor who is recognized monthly for his teamwork and team spirit.  They are flexible in their schedule and supports both FMCH functions and many FMCH outside functions by making sure he is always prepared and done at the highest quality.  When you see him in the hallway he is always quick to say a friendly hello and his quick laughter can brighten a day. He takes great pride in his job and is always researching new ways to make things better. He is committed, looks for solutions to opportunities and pitches in the department wherever needed. His commitment to the department, team members and FMCH is evident everyday he is here.  No one specific story but the everyday living the standards story is what he is respected for.
Dohman recognized his Director, Terry Cramblit as someone who helped him in his career at FMCH, “When I started as a Supervisor Terry Cramblit helped me maneuver the changes in my responsibilities. To this day, we work together with projects and brainstorming problems and solutions.” He also explained why he liked working at FMCH,” I enjoy working with the dietary department. We have fun as we work together. I also enjoy hearing how our customers like the food we serve as well as seeing friendly faces and joking around with others in the different departments.”
Dohman enjoys spending time with his wife Renae, children and grandchildren, hunting, fishing and relaxing at the cabin.
The Employee of the Month is an initiative developed by the Reward & Recognition team. Each month a FMCH employee is honored for going above and beyond for the good of the patient, their co-workers and the organization.
