Krogmeier named new LeeComm 911 director

FORT MADISON - The LeeComm Board of Directors announced on Thursday that Shanna Krogmeier of Fort Madison has been named to lead the LeeComm 911 dispatch center.

Krogmeier has been Assistant Director of Lee County Emergency Management Services and was recently named as an assistant medical examiner in a three-county agreement service agreement with Henry, Lee and Des Moines counties, based out of Great River Health Systems.

According to a release from Lee Comm Chair and Fort Madison Police Chief Tim Sittig, the board conducted a nation-wide search for a new director and had interest from as far away as Wyoming and Florida.

Approximately 40 applications were received. The board narrowed down the list of applicants to ten who were interviewed. Out of the ten finalists, the board then narrowed the list down to three top candidates. A thorough background investigation was completed and the board then selected one person for the position.

"The Lee Com Board of Directors is pleased to announce the hiring of Shanna Krogmeier of Fort Madison as the new Lee Com Director of Operations. Shanna was most recently employed as the Assistant Director at Lee County Ambulance. Shanna brings a passion for team building and leadership and will work provide the best 911 Communications Center Lee County residents expect. Shanna’s start date will be November 13th 2017," Sittig wrote.

Over the summer and fall the board has been looking to replace the Director of Operations for the Lee Com 911 Dispatch Center, after the board accepted the resignation of Diana Fincher-Smith.
