Gerald “Perk” Dean Hogenson, 88, of Cape Fair, MO, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Ozark Mountain Regional Healthcare Center in Crane, MO. He was born on November 28, 1928 in Ethel, MO, the son of Louis & Letha Hogenson. He married Wava June Lee on June 23, 1946 in Kansas City, MO. She preceded him in death on May 10, 1999. Perk retired from the AT & SF Railroad with 40 years of service. He had lived in Cape Fair since 2001.

Perk is survived by: 1-son: Jerry (Stevi) Hogenson of Cape Fair, MO; 1-son in law: Mike (Linda) Pumphrey of Wever, IA; 2-grandsons: Matt (Misty) Hogenson of Cape Fair, MO & Scott (Lynn) Pumphrey of Denmark, IA; 2-granddaughters: Beth Hogenson of Reeds Spring, MO & Deana (Kenny) Lair of Burlington, IA and 8-great grandchildren: Kelsey & Cody Cox, Lillian & Jack Doty, Tate, Jaycee, Josie & Gracie Pumphrey. He was preceded in death by: his parents, wife, 1-daughter & 1-brother.

His body has been cremated and a visitation will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Westrip Funeral Home in Crane, MO. Graveside service will be held at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in rural Fort Madison, IA.
