Fort Madison Police Report

11/21/17 – 10:56 a.m. – Fort Madison police arrested Evelyn Alexandra Colman, 25 on a visa from Argentina, at the Lee County Jail on charge of forgery. She was held in custody at the Lee County Jail.

11/21/17 – 5:30 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 3200 block of Avenue I.

11/21/17 – 7:33 p.m. – Fort Madison Police cited Garry Franklin Farmer, 45, of Dallas City, Ill., in the 2600 block of Avenue L, on a charge of driving under suspension. He was released upon citation.

11/21/17 – 7:45 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a stolen bicycle in the 2500 block of Avenue G.

11/21/17 – 8:08 p.m. – Fort Madison Police cited John Robert Winkell Mead, 38, of Fort Madison in the 700 block of Avenue H on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released upon citation.

11/21/17 – 9:47 p.m. – Fort Madison police cited Dustin Chauncey Brecount, 36, of Fort Madison in the 700 block of 27th Street on a charge of driving under suspension. He was released upon citation.

11/22/17 – 12:09 a.m. – Fort Madison Police cited Eric Roger George DeMuynck, 52, of Fort Madison in the 700 block of 21st Street on a charge of driving while suspended. He was released upon citation.

11/22/17 – 1:26 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1200 block of Avenue H.

Lee County Sheriff’s Report

11/21/17 – 7:15 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 103 southbound. According to the report, a vehicle driven Ernest Linus Steffensmeier, 64, of Fort Madison struck the rear end of a tractor and the trailer attached causing heavy damage Steffensmeier’s vehicle and structural damage to the tractor and trailer. No citations or injuries were reported at the scene.

11/21/17 – 8:11 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident on West Point Road. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Alyssa Sue Ann Pugliese, 24, of Burlington, spun into the northbound lane after Pugliese said a vehicle crossed the center line. Pugliese’s vehicle skiied onto the shoulder and into a ditch where it flipper over. No injuries were reported. Pugliese was cited for failure to maintain control and driving while suspended.

11/21/17 – 9:19 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 218. According to the report a vehicle and trailer driven by Norman Jinkens, 73, of Mt. Sterling, Ill., dropped several bales of hay from a trailer damaging a vehicle driving by Nacy Lorena Bunnell, 73, of Argyle resulting in moderate damage and no injuries. Jinkens was cited for spilling loads on the highway.
