Roger Dale Reuther, 71, of Ft. Madison passed away on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 2:20 AM at his home.

He was born on March 13, 1946 in Ft. Madison to Dale Reuther and Maxine Vass. On December 21, 1973 he married Pamela Little in Carthage, IL. Roger was a truck driver and also worked for the City of Ft. Madison for several years. He was a former member of the First Christian Church and the Moose Lodge. He served in the US Army during Vietnam. Roger enjoyed puzzle books, trucking and was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan. His greatest loves were his grand dogs, they were his livelihood.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Reuther of Ft. Madison; two sons, Nicholas Reuther of Ft. Madison and Bradley (Ruth) Reuther of Kahoka, MO; his mom, Maxine Cummlander of Fort Madison; two sisters, Sharon Lampley of Ellerbe, NC and Karen Sojka of Washington, IA. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Carl.

Friends may call after 2 PM on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory where the family will meet with friends from 4:30-6:30 PM. Per his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A private burial with military rites will be held in Soldier’s Circle, Oakland Cemetery.
