FORT MADISON - Pink Heals Sauk Valley will pull their pink firetruck, Leslie, into Fort Madison on Friday, December 8th on their way to Warsaw, Illinois. Leslie will be on display at Fort Madison Community Hospital by the Main entrance from 12 noon to 3p.m. on Friday. Pink Heals travels throughout the country offering women support while fighting cancer and other diseases.

While at FMCH, Pink Heals invites all members of the community, patients, and family members to come out and get a hug from firefighters dressed in pink fire gear, sign the pink firetruck and have their photo taken.

“We are excited to welcome the Pink Heals firetruck to FMCH. We hope people in the community will take advantage of this opportunity to come sign the truck and get their photo taken as a show of support for the great work these firefighters are doing,” expressed Angie Budnik, Community Relations Director at FMCH.

Pink Heals Sauk Valley was formed in December of 2016. It is one non-profit chapter of a national Pink Heals tour. The mission of Pink Heals is to serve members of the surrounding community with a message of love, hope, and hugs while raising awareness of diseases that affect women.
