Hounds yet to find first win

WASHINGTON - The Fort Madison Lady Hounds fell to 0-9 on the year with a 19-55 loss Tuesday night on the road at Washington to highlight girls high school basketball action.

Taylor Shannan led the Hounds with five points, four in the third period to lead Fort Madison. Eleesha Estrada had four points and Nadia Boeding added three points. Anna Kester, Kamryn Bailey and Maddie Rashid each added two points for Fort Madison. Dalyn Wondra chipped in with one point.

Washington put up 17 in each of the first and second periods to race out to a 34-7 first half lead and then outscored the Hounds 21-12 in the final two periods.

Kira Ropp lead all scorers with 15 points.

The Hounds travel to Fairfield on Friday night.
