FMCH announces scholarship opportunities

FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Community Hospital Auxiliary and the FMCH Foundation have announced two scholarship opportunities

The FMCH Auxiliary is now accepting applications for the Health Career scholarship sponsored by the organization. This scholarship provides funds to students pursuing a career in any medical field. It is available for high school seniors or recent high school graduates. College graduates may also apply for the scholarship to pursue continuing education.

Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on grades, character, community and school activity and financial need.

Applicants can apply online by going to www.fmchosp.com/community-wellness/scholarships. Transcripts, FAFSA and ACT scores can be mailed to:

The Kathleen Canella Family, in conjunction with the FMCH Foundation, is now accepting applicants for the Kathleen Canella Family Scholarship.

This scholarship provides funds to students pursuing a career in a medical field. It is available for high school seniors or recent high school graduates of Fort Madison High School and Holy Trinity Catholic High School. It is also available to non-traditional college students. Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on grades, leadership, character, community activity and financial need. College graduates may also apply for the scholarship to pursue continuing education.

The Kathleen Canella Family Scholarship was established in memory of Kathleen Canella, a dedicated FMCH Auxiliary member and hospital volunteer. Applications may be requested by contacting the FMCH Foundation at 319-376-2747 or can be filled out online at http://www.fmchosp.com/community-wellness/scholarships/. Completed applications must be received at FMCH by April 2nd.

Please encourage students to read the directions carefully as incomplete applications will not be accepted.
