Elmer Dean Aldridge, 87, of Fort Madison, died Friday, January 5, 2018 at The Madison in Fort Madison, IA.

He was born on January 3, 1931 in Terre Haute, IL the son of Elmer and Hattie Collis Aldridge.

Elmer was a jack-of-all trades and could do anything he set his mind to.

Throughout the years he had been a hired hand for several farmers and also did carpentry work. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and dancing.

Elmer is survived by two sons, Ernest Aldridge of Fort Madison and Harold Aldridge of Missouri, one daughter, Shirley McDaniel of Missouri, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

At this time there will be no visitation or services.

The Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk is assisting the family with arrangements.
