Michael John Tebbs, 75, of Bonaparte, IA and formerly of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 4:18 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua, IA.

He was born on January 1, 1943 in Fort Madison, IA to Floyd H. & Katherine A. Buechel Tebbs.

He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1961. He married Carol A. Morris in 1969, they later divorced.He then partnered in love and life with Miriam Holtkamp and she preceded him in deathon March 8, 2011.

He worked at Crandon's Paper Mill, Gleason's and retired from DuPont in Fort Madison. He was a lifelong hunter, fisherman, Iowa Hawkeye fan & St. Louis Cardinal fan. He was a member of Ss. Mary & Joseph Church, Knights of Columbus and the NRA.

Mike is survived by: 2-daughters: Danielle (Lance) Vaughn of Altoona, IA & Courtney Tebbs of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: Brendan (Denise) Tebbs of Sugar Grove, IL & Joshua Tebbs of Columbia, SC; 4-grandchildren: Clinton Tebbs, Corinne Tebbs Owen, Katherine Vaughn & Lauren Vaughn; 1-step granddaughter: Kendyl Bechen; 1-brother: Raymond Joseph Tebbs of Fort Madison, IA & 1-sister: Geraldine Shibley of Fort Madison, IA. He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-brother: Jackie & 1-sister: Mary.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18, 2018 with the family to receive friends from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. Following the visitation, his body will be cremated and a memorial mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Ss. Mary & Joseph Church.
