Keokuk woman facing felony meth charge

KEOKUK - The Lee County Narcotics Task Force reports the arrest of a Keokuk, Iowa woman on a felony drug warrant.

Jamey Lynn Hymes, 37, of 1302 Carroll Street, Keokuk, Iowa was arrested on January 22nd, 2018 at her residence on an outstanding felony drug warrant. Hymes is charged with delivery of methamphetamine less than five grams within 1000 feet of a public park, a class C felony with an enhancement. If convicted, Hymes faces up to 15 years in a state correctional facility.

The arrest of Hymes stems from an investigation by the Lee County Narcotics Task Force into allegations that she was involved in the distribution of methamphetamine in the Keokuk area.

The Lee County Attorney’s Office and the Keokuk Police Department assisted the Lee County Narcotics Task Force in this investigation.

The defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
