Fort Madison Police report

02/06/18 – 11:16 a.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 300 block of Old Denmark Road.

02/06/18 – 4:17 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a hit and run in the 1000 block of 33rd Street.

02/06/18 – 5:34 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 400 block of 23rd Street.

02/07/18 – 11:52 a.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Kenneth Dale Sommerfield, 57, listed as homeless, in the 3000 block of Avenue N, on a charge of violation of a no-contact order. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

02/07/18 – 4:16 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 3200 block of Avenue L.

02/08/18 – 1:44 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 6100 block of Reve Court.

Lee County Sheriff’s report

02/06/18 – 12:00 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bradley Michael Dettmers, Jr., 32, of Fort Madison, at the North Lee Countyhouse on a court-ordered hold. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

02/06/18 – 10:30 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 2800 block of Hwy. 218. A vehicle driven by Keyshawn Isaiah White, 20, of Keokuk, lost control on snow covered roads and slid across the highway heading northbound into the west ditch. No citations were issued at the scene and White refused medical treatment.

02/07/18 – 3:36 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jordin Rod Dale Snowden, 24, of Montrose, in the 2700 block of 255th Street on a charge of driving while barred. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and released on a promise to appear.

02/08/18 – no time given – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Lawrence Spring, 22, of Keokuk, at the sheriff’s office  on a warrant for violation of probation. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

Those listed above are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
