Julia Renae Kay, 64 of Keokuk, IA died Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Lexington Square in Keokuk.

She was born March 20, 1953 in Keokuk the daughter of Chester and Wilma Snyder Kay.

She graduated from Keokuk High School with the Class of 1971.

In her younger years, she had been employed as a beautician. She later had worked at Shaffer Pen and Freuhauf both in Ft. Madison, IA and had worked on several different river boats while she lived down south.

Julia enjoyed antiquing and attending auctions. She also enjoyed playing Bingo and the company of her very close friends at the River Terrace. She loved to read books and especially enjoyed western love stories. Julia enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and walking.

She is survived by one son, Brian Ross (Kristen) of Phoenix, AZ, one sister Jean Roberts of Keokuk, two brothers, Ronnie Kay of Montrose, IA and Bud Kay of Idaho and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Terry Jones and her special love, her dog, Oliver.

There will be no services.

Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk, IA is assisting the family with arrangements.
