FORT MADISON - Fort Madison High School's Marching Bloodhounds returned Sunday night from Chicago. The parade was a long wait but a quick march. A lot of people were at this parade just to watch the band march and play. The trip itself was an amazing experience for the students. From the food to the entertainment, they enjoyed it all.

For freshman, Morgan Meierotto, this is her first band trip outside of the normal competitions from this last season. Meierotto said she valued the experience.

"In all honesty, I was completely nervous about the parade. It had a different atmosphere then many of the other performances. The experience is something that I wouldn't trade for anything though," Meierotto said.

As for senior Jason Meyer, his experience was a nice closure to his time on the Bloodhound Marching Band.

"As a senior, it was the perfect way to close out my time in marching band and help show why Fort Madison High School's band is one of the best in America. It was great to bond closer with my friends and make new memories."

If you still wish to see the Marching Bloodhound's performance in the parade, you still can. Go to abc7chicago.com then search for the parade.
