Donald Joseph Lynch, 66, of West Point, IA, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at The Madison. He was born on January 4, 1952 in Van Nuys, CA to Joseph & Lillian Erdman Lynch. He married Sandra Lynch on November 24, 1974 in Norfolk, VA and they later divorced. He retired as an investigator at the Iowa State Penitentiary and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and the Army National Guard during Desert Storm. He was a cub scout leader and enjoyed go cart racing.

Don is survived by: 3-sons: Scott (Renee) Lynch of Donnellson, IA, Brian Lynch of Fort Madison, IA & Richard (Hanna) Lynch of Fort Madison, IA; 8-grandchildren and 1-brother: Carl Fredricks of New York state. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the American Lung Association.
