Fort Madison Police Report

04/13/18 – 5:12 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 700 block of 13th Street.

04/13/18 – 12:36 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 2100 block of Hwy. 61.

4/13/18 – 12:36 p.m. – Fort Madison Police cited James Dee Tuxhorn, 48 of Fort Madison on Iris Lane on a charge of failure to prove security against liability and failure to yield right of way. He was released upon citation.

04/13/18 – 1:58 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 2700 block of Avenue L.

04/13/18 – 3:54 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1200 block of 38th Street.

04/13/18 – 5:18 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 1220 block of 37th Street.

04/14/18 – 11:51 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress in the 1900 block of Avenue F.

04/15/18 – 6:36 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 3000 block of Avenue P.

04/15/18 – 5:22 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 600 block of Avenue H.

04/15/18 – 8:43 p.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Carroll Vernon Brewer III, 43, of Fort Madison, in the 3100 block of Avenue P, on a warrant for delivery of methamphetamine less than 5 grams. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

04/17/18 – 2:15 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 2000 block of Avenue G.

04/17/18 – 5:22 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 2200 block of Avenue E.

04/18/18 – 12:10 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a burglary in the 1200 block of 37th Street.

04/18/18 – 2:18 a.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Denise Lynn Hemmie, 50, of Denmark, at the intersection of 24th Street and Avenue G, on a charge of OWI-1st offense. She was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

Lee County Sheriff’s Department Report

04/16/18 – 6:38 p.m – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident on Hwy. 218. A vehicle driven Lane Thomas Campbell, 18, of Farmington, was headed eastbound behind a vehicle driven by Michelle Marie Muehring, 36, of Columbia, Mo., According to the sheriff’s report Muehring had slowed to make a left turn and was allegedly struck by Campbell. No citations or injuries were reported at the scene.

04/17/18 – 7:56 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michelle Lee Nelson, 43, of Fort Madison at the Lee County Jail, on a warrant for failure to appear. She was held in custody.

04/17/18 – 1:51 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Cordall Antonio Robinson, 20, of Cedar Rapids, at the sheriff’s office on a charge of willful injury and a temporary hold. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

04/17/18 – 2:37 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dustin William Wrieden, 33, of Keokuk, in the 3500 block of Argyle Road in Keokuk, on charges of interference with official acts, walking on wrong side of highway and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

04/18/18 – 7:43 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jessica Kim Bower, 27, of Fort Madison at the sheriff’s office, on a charge of being a fugitive from justice. She was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.

Those listed above should be considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
