WASHINGTON - The Fort Madison boys soccer team went into OT for the second straight match, but this time came out on the wrong end of a 2-3 decision at Washington.

Carson Donaldson, who recorded 15 saves, couldn't hold off Washington's offense at the start of the first overtime period as the Demons punched one in the net just two minutes into the first overtime period.

It was all Hounds in the first half with Austin Sexton scoring at the 27:30 mark in the first half on assists from AJ Nolting and Miguel Trejo. Nolting scored on a break-away with just :03 left in the first period while Donaldson was pitching the first half shut out.

However, Washington turned the tables with two goals of their own in the second half, the first coming at the 8:00 minute mark. Then with just 3:30 left in the game, the Demons slid the ball past Donaldson again to knot the score at 2-2 forcing the overtime session.

Nolting and Sexton each had three shots at the goal to go with one by Chandler Rung.

In the junior varsity contest, Chance Decker had six saves as the Hounds tied the Demons 2-2. Keaton Poe and Will Larson both scored for FMHS.

The Hounds play host to Fairfield on Monday night at the Baxter Sports Complex.
