Pictured is Kate Lamb presenting a check to three Special Olympics participants. The local track meet was cancelled because of the spring weather conditions, so these young students have an opportunity to run at state. Kate is happy to present the check on behalf of Potowonok Circle of Kings Daughters. The athletes, pictured left to right are: Luke Walljasper, Joe Stephens, and Zach Wells. They are students of Julie Benge, who is the teacher at the high school. She and her husband, Brad Benge, take the students every year. Thank you to the FMCSD teachers who give their personal time to this very empowering event for these students. Photo courtesy of Potowonok Circle.

Kate Lamb, on behalf of the Potowonok Circle of Kings Daughters, proudly presents a check to Lisa Woods, who generously donates her time and resources to the Fort Madison Tri-State Rodeo Kids Rodeo. Woods and her family provide some of the horses to the special needs rodeo, also. Woods was excited and said they needed a couple things for this event and will use the money to get those things.
